minishoe*
a pop-up show with Mingxuan Tan at Oslo National Academy of the Arts
ceramics and waste medium
dimensions vary
2019

*some people have big shoes, some have small ones. With their obstinate length, big toes of my feet demand scaling up my shoes and a great deal of attention to them. Large shoes can be observed from any human hight, yet a small shoe requires folding of one’s body at the pelvic hinge or knees or both to bring the gaze closer to the timid object.
minishoe* is installed in such way as to be viewed by adjusting one’s hight by bending, squating, sitting in the middle and twisting around the y-axis, sitting in a chair on or off wheels, or by being just the right size to begin with.
